1969 PONTIAC CATALINA STATION WAGON IN VERY GOOD CONDITION 42 YEAR OLD CLASSIC! You wont pass yourself on the highway in this classic wide track surfing wagon! This is one great old solid car! Body is very nice with no rust issues! Solid frame! Built like a sherman tank! These are rarer than convertibles these days because so many were used up in demolition derbys 20 or 30 years ago! She sports the original drive train! Its pretty darn nice too the original 400 CI 290hp Two barrel motor more HP than the 70s or 80s wagons. The auto trans shifts smooth. Pant is very nice called Salsa Red its very glossy and in extrremly good condition. Body panels fit well doors close solid! Motor is clean and detailed correct. Has power window in the tailgate! New tires on restored large pattern Rally IIS with PMDs they look great on this car! True dual exhast gives it a nice rumble without being loud. You wont see another one like it anywhere on ebay. front end is tight with fresh shocks and lowered front springs handles well for a huge car. Rides like a a lazy boy you cant get this ride in a newer car period True Wide tracking! Love this old ride but its time to make some room in the Garage and i just dont have the room anymore. Even has the oriiginal AC intact! Its still running R12 i believe blows cool not cold so will need to update i guess to the 134a. With all the windows I rarely used the AC! But it does still function. no major leaks has the typical little oil drip the 400s are know for. Nothing serious though. carb is rebuilt starts in any tempeture on the first try I did replace the points distributor with HEI distibutor for reliability all hoses are new as wel as thermostat and vaccume lines. Has new alternator and battery. Very reliable. Milleage is 64450 and believed to be accurate has loads of power and is so quiet at idle even with the big motor and duals its hard to tell its running. Could use valve guide seals but uses very little oil! I would not bother with it as she really moves out nice I did put new trw chain and gears in it just to be safe otherwise no one has been inside motor and nothing is needed.This will make an excellent cruiser for the wagon or Pontiac enthusiast period Its done in a beach cruiser motiff. They are only decals in the back windows so if beach and surf are not your thing you can easily remove them. Its the 9 passenger wagon not the 7 it has the reverse third row seat my daughter loves that she will cry when this car leaves its a blast to drive and ride in. Front seat needs to be recovered (would be easy its a straight bench) second seat has a soplit in seam and third seat is almost mint! i put Black and red inexpensive seat covers over the front seats and they look presentable.New Dash pad out of a wrecked Bonnecville looks perfect! NO Cracks! hAS SPOME WEAR AND TEAR IN CARGO AREA BUT NO RIPS IN HEADLINER! All glass is nice with no cracks front windshield has some slight marks from a bad wiper but they are not scratched and can be buffed out more than likey. Bumpers are straight but could use a rechroming if you wanted to take it to a regional car show. At the local level or cruise in it will get plenty of positive attention. Carpet is new all seat belts are good and operational. Floors are very solid no flintsone action here! Car is reliable! Drove it over 100 miles one way with no issues recently. Signals horn and other features all fully funtional new tail lens still has 3 of the original T-3 headlights! Its worth the but it now price for sure! Brakes are drum all around but do stop with authority when needed! Exhaust and shocks are also less than 2 years old. Im the 4th owner first owner had from 1969 to 2008! Its always been in SC or NC never up in the salt ever and it shows! It also has the dual opening tailgate swings out like a car door or like a pick up truck your choice and yes it works fine! no hinge issues. If you come and see this car in person you will prob buy it its that good a car. I welcome in person inspection i have been racing and restoring Pontiacs since 1980! Cargo area is huge this would be a great car to tow a GTO or other classic as well!
