This car is a very reliable daily driver but I have to sell it for something more practical. It was originally purchased by the Utah state police as an unmarked highway patrol car. It runs and drives very well, I just drove it from North Carolina to St Louis and back a few weeks ago without issue. The A/C has been retrofitted to R134a and works very well, I have put four new tires, front brakes, brake master cylinder, in-tank fuel pump, fuel gauge sending unit, radiator, water pump and thermostat within the past few months. The radiator and fuel gauge sender were necessary items, the rest I replaced just because they are typical failure items in a 24 year old Ford. Overall the car is in good shape, the paint job is decent but not the work of a master. There is a small ding in the middle of the hood and a couple small ones on the trunklid. I have photographed the two areas where rust is a concern...the driver's rear quarter panel behind the wheel and the lip of the trunklid. Neither are very bad but will need to be addressed soon to deter more extensive repair. The floor pans and undercarriage are solid as are the door bottoms. The mufflers and tailpipes are a year or so old but she has a very slight exhaust leak where the H pipe meets the factory header on the passenger side. It is hardly noticeable from inside the car but I feel in the way of honesty it is worth mentioning. This car feels solid on the road and tracks straight and drives smooth. It was designed for speed and will cruise at 80-90 without complaint and still pull around 23 mpg doing so. The interior is in pretty good shape, the original carpet and floor mats have no holes in them and present themselves well for their age. The driver's seat has a split in the side that I photographed but other than that area the factory seats are good. The rear seat has the zippered pouch and heavy tweed lower cover from the state police (I was told the pouch was actually a shotgun bag). All gauges and lights function well, I replaced the headlamp assemblies and front parking lamp assemblies with replacements from Mustangs Unlimited since the original lamps were foggy and dull. I have tried to describe this car to the best of my abilities, and I am confident that overall it is a nice example of a fox-body Mustang. There are websites dedicated to these special service package Mustangs and they seem to have quite a following with collectors. Please note this is a 24 year old car and it is not perfect, but I would trust this car to drive anywhere at any time.
