The car has been recently released out of service. We acquired it in already very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. This car was a previously marked FL DOT unit. Decals have been professionally removed and the body has been through our cosmetic 5-step renewal process and now looks very nice. Please look at the numerous pictures and videos. You will understand what we mean.... The paint looks very good considering the year and mileage of this car. Some scratches, a little bubbling, some minor touch ups and little imperfections common for this type of vehicle. The biggest scartches/touch ups are on the doors where the guys that removed the decals didn't really gave a s&*t about the car and went a little too ddep into the paint. (see pictures) No other major imperfections or dents to list. The front bumper has a certain degree of peebles scratches and other wear and tear signs. The front grille is like new. Pushbar installed on the car. Some light tar and pebble scratches on lower rear bumper. The undercarriage is in extremely good shape. No abnormal tar or oil traces. The roof is clean and in great shape. 3 professionally plugged antenna hole on the roof and one antenna hole plugged on the decklid. The headlights and sidemarker assemblies are brand new as well as all the bulbs and in perfect working order. Tail lights look great. No major scratches or cracks of any kind. INTERIOR On the inside the car is extremely clean. All components inside are present, nothing is missing, broken or damaged. All controls and switches are individually tested and are in perfect working order. What needs to be addressed is always taken care of. There are basically no holes in the dashboard from previous police equipment mounting (and we all know how rare this is....) 1 small hole on the floor carpet. The dashboard has no cracks and/or dings on the front. Some minor regular use light scuffs are obviously present. All cluster and dashboard lights are tested and work correctly. Glove box is illuminated and it is closing perfectly. It contains a copy of OEM FORD User manual. The rubber floor has been completely washed, dried and detailed to look like new and is covered with plastic protector until the car gets delivered. Headliner is clean and in good shape. Steering wheel is in good shape. Soem wear is obviously present. Ford logo slightly peeled. The seats are in very good working condition, free of major rips and tears and they all have been professionally vacuumed, dry cleaned with specific car upholstery cleaning products and plastic covered for extra protection. A couple of light scuffs are present. The seat brackets and guides have been cleaned. Driver seat certainly shows some wear and tear but nothing out of this world. This car has side airbags a feature quite rare for these Police P71 models. Rear seat is practically brand new and extra plushy! Front door and rear door panels are all in excellent shape, No cracks no tears, no rips. All door jams have been cleaned, detailed and greased. Window glass is in perfect shape, no chips or cracks on the windshield or any other other glass in the car. Rear window and side glass are tinted. Please check your local laws for tinted windows. All power windows and lock options work. Rear doors can be opened both from the inside and from the outside. This is not always the case for a P71 POLICE SPECS model. Extra auxiliary, high intensity ticket dome light mounted on the headliner. Driver's side has a working spotlight. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION Engine starts beautifully and the sound of this 4.6L Classic Ford V8 is always great music to our ears. Idling speed is slightly higher that the civilian counterpart Crown Victoria as per Police Package specs for better battery recharging power and that makes it sounds even better! The car accelerates smoothly, no engine knocks or hesitation of any sort. The transmission gets into forward and rear gears perfectly. It follows gear changes as it should and does its job as requested. No rear or differential noises at all. The car drives extremely straight and tight. The 2004 are really some of our favorite model year. A lot of power and one of the best driving feelings among the whole Police Interceptors production years! This car was in service at the FL DOT and therefore most likely didn't get abused like other vehicles. It runs extremely well and smooth and it a real pleasure to get around in it. The engine compartment has been professionally uncluttered from emergency wiring and equipment, cleaned and degreased and it shows no signs of damaged, missing or displaced parts. As usual, we took care of everything we could think of so your only concern is when and where to drive!
