This car has always been garaged until last month when I moved, so she has to go. I bought this solid little Fiat to restore, but just started driving it around. History: As far as I know has only had a couple of owners, I was told that the previous owner was given this after the old man that owned it died. I was looking for a car with minimal rust, first priority. This car has rust in the drivers door bottom, the hood where the rubber grommets hit when closed, a hole around the left rear light? don't know why, and the odd little spot here and there. The structure, floor pan, trunk, strut towers and bulkhead etc are solid as far as I can see. Under the car the underseal is cracking, where the rear muffler was I pulled off the underseal and coated with black rust paint, the muffler was rotten so to keep driving I replaced with a straight pipe for now, noisy but fun :) The rear brake calipers I rebuilt and added new pads. The heater hose was by passed because of a split hose, you would need to replace if you want a heater. The tires are great condition but look like they may have not been used much in a decade or so. They shake a little at around 50 to 60 mph, I would replace except I rarely go beyond 50mph. The engine runs, has good wires cap etc, sometimes ran rough when very hot weather. Clutch and 5 speed transmission are good. Interior: Seats are ok but stitching is getting tired in front, rear are good, some wear as expected. Carpets are good, replaced I think centre consul and dash top had those plastic covers, under is typically cracked. the roof is fair, won't keep all the rain out. Electrics, deep breath, rev counter sometimes works, horn/lights, gauges etc work OK, turn signals occasionally work (A ground I think), radio works but antenna broken, clock face faded of course. This is basically a reasonable project Fiat that could be made a beauty, it is not perfect but is not one of the usual rust buckets you see. You could also tinker and drive like I did. Please folks, most of you know, but this is an old car, it could drive to Argentina or it could break down up the street, I have no idea if you can buy it and drive it back to California. I will drive a short distance if you have arranged shipping, but I will not help arrange shipping.
