A 1970 454 LS5 Chevelle SS numbers matching! A Bucket seat car with Automatic trany, A/C, center counsel, disk brakes. Let’s start with the engine, it’s a BBC big block chevy 454 Cast "3963512" (512) dated J22 9 stamped with 10K and last 6 of VIN and T0220CRQ. Block needs 3 sleeves and each cylinder bored. Machine shop said it’s a good block but needs work, does not need bore lined or decked. Engine is missing cam, crank, lifters. Its mainly just the block with main caps. Both cylinder Heads are cast K19 9 "3964290" and a match to block. Heads are rough but good, both need valves, springs, seats cut or hardened seats put in, has rust in some areas as does block and intake. Heads do not need surfaced just valve job. Intake is Cast "3955287" K17 9 again numbers matching. The original rear end is missing and long gone. Comes with a 12 bolt Rear end that is non posi and non original to car I believe it’s a 69. Body is what you see is what you get, hood is almost perfect with no rust, fenders are rusted in normal area towards bottom however where they bolt on has good beefy metal. Frame is very bad however comes with a rust free DONER frame. DONER Frame was sandblasted clear to bare metal and etched with primer and then painted black, I don’t believe you will find a better disk brake frame that is a perfect match for this car. All glass is missing but I do have a few glass pieces just need to dig them out. Floor is cut in some placed but need patched or hole new floor replaced, trunk area is not perfect and needs work, trunk has rust around the wheel well area. Quarters will need replaced for sure, the are very bad. Bucket seats are missing/gone. Center counsel is missing/gone. Transmission is Turbo 400 with VIN stamped and has plate with 70 stamped also, missing torque converter and will need complete rebuild. The end of trany shaft part was lost, see pictures. Transmission was broken and welded where it bolts to engine, ran fine after it was welded but not visually perfect. Missing drive shaft. Remember this car was raced hard back in 1994. So it had a hard life and was neglected for years. Its time to restore it! Rear windshield is missing, has rust around the area windshield sets in, front windshield is missing however does not have rust around the area windshield sets in. Roof has surface rust but no rust holes, easy clean up. Grill is a donor and non original. Missing both bumpers, rear seats and dash. Have donor AC outside unit. Inner fender wheels are rusted. I do have the original steering Colum and is in good condition. Just don’t have a picture. I believe I also have the original foot pedals. Missing seat belts. If you don’t see it and I did not mention it, it’s missing. Radiator core support is rust free and good. I don’t have the LH and RH front light bezels. Comes with both original front 1970 chevelle rims, dated 1970 missing rear rims. Doors are solid top and bottom. Doors need new handles and fixed outside where it bolts on, bolt was pulled through on handle. Kick panels are good but rear area near the quarters will need patched, typical rust area. Rims that are on it do not come with this Chevelle! I had them way back when I was in the ARMY and will never sell them. I will put some plan rims and tires for shipping. Title is clear however has issue. Has misprint in title however it is a 1970 title and was registered like this since before 1994, I have a copy of this. Cost to fix is $325 for all legal paperwork. Drivers side has little surface rust at very bottom but not much, passenger side is perfect.
