Please read the following detailed information in it's entirety and very carefully!! My son purchased this car in August of 2007 for $31,600. A significant amount of restoration had been done to the car. We have the original purchase documentation and can provide it,if desired. Since 2007, approximately $10,000 worth of upgrades and modifications have been made to the car. This is parts costs only, all of the labor was done by me. On august 31, 2011, the car was involved in an accident. As you can see in the photos, the passenger door and rear quarter were hit with significant impact. The car is drivable, and I have driven it up to 70mph on the highway since the accident. We have two estimates for complete repairs to the car. We requested that each of the estimates include removal of both rear quarters and the convertible top pan, because these items had some rust and were on our list of repairs which we ultimately planned to do to the car. One of the estimates is $11,800 and one is $12,600. Both of the shops which provided estimates reported that the frame on the car is not damaged. Some of the proposed repairs include but are not limited to the following: replace both left & right rear quarter panels; replace b-pillar; replace passenger side door & all associated equipment; replace left & right outer & inner wheel housing; replace vinyl top & frame assembly; repaint where necessary. (complete estimate can be furnish on request). The following is a list of items that were done to the car over the past four years. The car has been driven less than 1000 miles since it was purchased in 2007. 1. Replace all upholstery including seats, dash, console, carpet, door panels, sun visors. 2. Replace all gauges, including speed odometer, tach, clock, oil, temperature, amp. 3. Replace all window & door handles 4. Install new Ford repro radio & speakers 5. Install new chrome trim kit under hood & engine parts 6. Install new taillights and assemblies, backup lights, GT gas cap, chrome exhaust tips, parking lights, and new electric radio antenna 7. Cut out and replaced floor pans, inner rocker rails, torque boxes, and new rear springs. The following is a list of items that were already completed on the car when purchased in 2007. The engine- Ford Motorsport 347 Stroker motor with GT40 Aluminum heads. The transmission is a World Class T-5 5-Speed. Paint is Base Coat Clear Coat Candy Apple Red w/White Stripe. New gas tank. Clutch cable kit. Frt & Rear bumpers. New emblems. GT bars & lights. MSD Distributor coil & wires. Electric fuel pump, 8 qt oil pan, starter, Aluminum pulleys, new tires, American Racing Torque Thrust II Rims, Full Possi-traction rear end. I would describe the car as a beautiful driver. We own two concourse level show cars and this car is certainly not at that level. It is not numbers-atching, it is a nice resto-mod which receives much attention everywhere it goes. This car has been kept in a heated garage under cover for the past four years. We would insist that any serious bidders come and take a look at the car, or have an objective 3rd party take a look at the car, as it is impossible to accurately evaluate it from photos alone. The paint on the car is approximately 6 years old. It is not perfect and is not show quality, but looks good. THIS CAR IS WORTH SAVING!! IT IS NOT A DIFFICULT FIX!! JUST LOST INTEREST IN ANY MORE WORK ON THE CAR!! SELLING AT A LOW RESERVE - A LOT OF MONEY HAS BEEN INVESTED IN RESTORING CAR - BUT WILLING TO TAKE LOST AND LET SOMEONE ELSE HAVE IT.
