I recently purchased this vehicle from the guy who bought it in 1978 and drove it locally only. I had intentions of restoring it, but I have to many projects in line and realize it would have to wait at least 2 years before I could start on it, so I'm selling. The drivetrain is in excellent condition, I am a Master Toyota Technician and have been servicing this vehicle for the previous owner for the last 10 years, you can trust this FJ to drive across country at a moments notice and it is super low miles at only 104k. The vehicle is 99% original with the exception of a ford style alternator and regulator which I installed about 3 years ago. Still has original padding on rear roll bars and the original floor mats! Not a tear or busted seam in any of the seats! Runs, Drives, Handles and stops Great! The body has the usual problem areas (rust) common to these vehicles, but I would consider it to be better than most it just needs a few small patch panels installed as you can see in the photos and 1 place in the drivers floor about the size of a half dollar. These vehicles are bringing good money restored so don't miss out on this easy restorable FJ-40. I reserve the right to end this auction early.
