Vehicle Detail
1999 BMW 540i Sport Package (M5) Estate (E39) Station Wagon The 1999 BMW 5 Series scores an AMAZING 4.6 out of 5, (545 reviews) on Kelly Blue Book dot com Consumer Reviews. This car is an absolute joy to own. This car has more than what's listed, FOUR BRAND NEW TIRES, In-Cabin Air Purifiers, REAL! H.I.D. Xenon Headlights, Automatic Ride Leveling Air Suspension, High end BMW trip computer that gives you ETA, Miles to Destination, Stop-watch, Current Fuel Economy, and much, much more. I have personally gotten over 23.5 MPG in this specific car on the highway, and up to 17.2 in the city when I keep my foot out of it. Remember this is "The Daddy Wagon", and it has close to 300 horsepower and over 300 foot pounds of torque! A WICKED CAR! You really need to see the vehicle in person to appreciate it. Please email set up a time to view it. I can't go over every detail on the phone or via email/text, if you are coming to look at it bring cash or have your financing already in place on this 12 year old car. Original MSRP on this car was over $53,000.00 1999 BMW 5 Series 540iT Wagon 4D Configured Options Engine: V6, 4.4 Liter Transmission: Automatic (Trip-o-matic) Drivetrain: RWD Accessory Packages: Sport Package Braking and Traction: Traction Control (DSC), and ABS (4-Wheel) Comfort and Convenience: Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control, Automated Air-Ride, Privacy Curtains, Air Filtration Unit, Power Steering, Telescoping Wheel, Heated Seats Entertainment and Instrumentation: AM/FM Stereo, Cassette, CD (Multi Disc), Premium Sound, Integrated Phone Safety and Security: Dual Air Bags, F&R Side Air Bags, BMW Factory security Seats Dual Power Seats, Heated, Leather Roof and Glass Moon Roof, Serialized Etched glass Cargo and Towing Roof Rack, Rear Cargo Net, sliding trunk floor Wheels and Tires: Alloy 20” Premium Wheels, like new Rubber on all! Retractable Rear Cargo Net, GREAT for DOGS (I don't have a dog). This can also be moved to just behind the driver, for really big dogs I guess. Security Cover for the Rear, so they can't see the Bodies. Retractable Built in Sun Screens on the rear doors for the Kid's The BAD: The driver-side rear window (Left Rear Passenger) doesn't roll down, the motor is still good but the notorious blue plastic clip which cost $20 and takes an hour to put in. Also the rear cup-holders are broken. The rims have been curbed by the previous owner I bought them used. The car has a shimmy when braking from 40mph that should be inspected at the next service. This car has all the common issues, bumps, chips, scratches you would expect from a 12 year old car, but is in overall good condition. Another thing is the passenger power head rest doesn’t go up and down with the power motor, the driver’s works fine. You can move the passenger manually. Over all the car is in very nice shape. My story: I have four cars right now and want to focus on a restoration project, I really love this car but it’s due for a service and I could use the cash to put into my restoration. I didn’t include a photo of the driver’s seat bolster but it should be visible and noted this is very slightly worn, it’s still in great shape. Also there is not even the hint that this car was ever on a salted road... There is no rust on the car at all! Lastly, I do still drive this car, milage will be SLIGHTLY higher whgen delivered.
