1956 Ford Fairlane V-8 Automatic 4 door, drives good, shifts good, motor sounds good but left bank smokes, rear axle is quiet. has a New gas tank. Lights and turn signals work, Glass is good and clear except one small chip in windshield and vent windows have some edge bubble. Chrome trim has dent on grill and passenger front door. Some amatuer body work has been done on right front fender, front and rear door,they need a little more work to be smooth, small amount of filler in lower rear quarters but wasn't bad like most, has a small hole in inside right tail pan, rest is good. Floor pans are solid no rust viewed from under vehicle. Has no tail pipes, down drafts after glass pack mufflers. Has a two barrel to four barrel adapter and Holley carburator. This could have a newer model motor. New fuel pump but does not operate the vacuum wipers, so they will not function.Missing the ford emblem on glove box door and chrome rings on turn signal indicators in dash and one bumper guard. gauges and speedometer work but odometer stopped at 77,180.9 previous owner estimated milage about 80,000.This is a good complete car to do a restoration.
