1996 BMW R1100RT I am offering for sale my BMW motorcycle at a less then blue book value. The motorcycle was a victim of the flash flood while parked in a lot on Tucson International Airport property during the record setting rainfall of Thursday September 15th, 2011. This vehicle has never been claimed by me as a loss to any insurance company due to this flood incident. The motorcycle has scratches to the suitcases, lower fairing, right mirror, and right cylinder head bumper due to the flood incident. The motorcycle had been under water for a few hours time before being rescued. I personally removed/drained all of the fluids, oils, fuel, and water from the vehicle and then replaced fresh fluids, oils, and fuel. The battery was recharged, new sparkplugs installed, and the bike was cleaned-up. The motorcycle engine turned over, but would not start and operate. Beyond the visible damages to this motorcycle, there likely is water damage to some of the electrical components. I do not have the time or facilities to fully and properly diagnose and repair the bike, and as such, I have decided to sell the motorcycle in 'as-is-condition'. There is no guarantee or warranty on this motorcycle, either explicit or implicit, that is to be offered by me. This motorcycle may be repaired, used as a parts bike, or disassembled and sold in pieces as per the buyers discretion and choice. The purchaser of this motorcycle is totally responsible for the shipment or transportation of the vehicle at their own expense. I can safely store the motorcycle in my home garage for a period of up to 21 days from purchase while the buyer arranges and schedules for the vehicle to be picked up. I can assist with the loading of the bike, but can not crate the bike.
