Every vehicle is road tested before being listed on eBay. This description is an account of how the vehicle performs in a real life road test. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1999 Infiniti QX4. The QX4 is a luxury SUV based off of the Nissan Pathfinder...so it has a reliable powertrain and rugged chassis but is wrapped in refined luxury. I would rate the exterior of this QX4 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. As you can see, this is a great looking truck. The two tone paint has a great shine from any angle. The buyer should expect normal wear consistant with an older vehicle like small scratches and scuffs here and there. Rust is a huge factor with these trucks but this one is in better shape than most, showing only two small areas of minor surface rust (almost invisible to the camera). The tires are in fair condition all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. For those of us living in the snow belt, winter is coming. If you got snowed in last year, here is your chance to beat the weather...in style. I would rate the interior of this Infiniti to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. As you can see, the door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets show very well. The headliner is clean and in tact. The seats show almost no wear and are very comfortable throughout. The wood trim is in good condition and shows well. The power windows, locks, seat, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. A full set of books and manuals are included. This Intiniti is equipped with Homelink integrated garage door openers as well as a digital compass. The audio system is the original Infiniti/Bose stereo that sounds great and includes CD and cassette. The climate control is fully automatic and is working properly. The air conditioner blows ice cold air, too. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The interior styling is as gracious and elegant as the exterior. Mechanically, this QX4 appears to be in good running condition. The Nissan V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I saw no leaks or smoke coming from this vehicle. During my time driving it, the engine kept a normal temperature and there were no warning lights on. Its road manners are mostly good. I feel it could perhaps benefit from new lower ball joints as the front feels a little loose over rough surfaces. Otherwise, the suspension feels tight. The steering is responsive and light. The brakes stop the truck well. Highway driving is smooth and composed. These trucks feel at home on the highway, unlike other SUV's. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. This vehicle allows you to drive in 2WD, AWD, 4HI and 4LO...all with the turn of a switch. The Infiniti QX4 is a great truck. I've owned several over the years and they have proven to be very reliable and nice enough to not get tired of driving every day.
