Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay. The description you are reading is an account of this vehicles road test findings. It is recommended that every potential bidder come see and drive a vehicle before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appiontment only at my York, PA warehouse. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a ONE OWNER 1997 Hyundai Accent GS. Bought in April of 1998, this Accent has been in the same family for the last 13 years. While far from perfect, this car is in reasonably good condition for the age and miles. I would rate the body of this car as AVERAGE. As you would expect of any inexpensive vehicle with 180k miles, there are numerous scratches, dents and so on all around this car. The paint is a little thin on the roof and it looks like some clear coat is chipping on the hood. Overall, this is a decent looking little car. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires are nearly new all around. I would rate the interior of this Accent to be in AVERAGE condition, also. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets show well for the age. The seats show no excessive wear throughout. The headliner is in tact and clean looking. The cargo area is clean and spacious, too. This Hyundai comes with its original owners manuals, original window sticker and floor mats. The stereo has been upgraded with a CD player which sounds good. The climate control system is working properly. The air conditioner blows ice cold air still! I have driven this car 100 miles and it isn't bad to drive at all. Mechanically, this little Accent appears to run pretty well. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I saw no smoke or leaks coming from the engine. The front end is nice and tight. The rear makes a little noise over bumps so shocks or bushings might be in order for the rear. The steering is tight and responsive. The brakes stop the car well. It drives down the road nice and strait with no vibrations or pulling. The clutch feels good and does not slip or chatter. The transmission shifts smoothly. The shifter is a little sloppy but it doesn't appear to affect the drivability of the car. There are little plastic bushings in the shifter linkage that wear over time. They are inexpensive to replace...but it seems to do fine the way it is, honestly. The temperature stays nice and cool and there were no warning lights. It has a newer PA inspection, too.
