Vehicle Detail

What we have here is a 1988 Chevy S10 4WD automatic "ON SITE PLOW TRUCK". The last time this truck was inspected and registered for the road was 2004. I have been using this to plow my personal 1/3 mile driveway since 2001. It has a 2.8 V6 fuel injected motor that was put in back in 2000 that was from a rolled truck with only 39,000 miles on it. I had also replaced the front fenders and hood along with a new aftermarket bed. It does have a plastic insert bed liner. It has a fisher 8ft plow assembly on it. The vehicle would just sit for about 8 months out of 12 because it was only used to plow my driveway. In the past 3 years "the critters" must have ate at some of the wiring because when I needed it to plow, it would not start. I had someone come and take a look and they couldn't figure it out However; if you hit it with a little starting fluid it starts immediately and runs like a champ. Until you shut it off, then you have to hit it with starting fluid again. It seems that the injectors will not fire when you try and start it, but once it turns over with the aid of the starting fluid then the injectors kick in and it runs great. I have used it like this for the past few years, but recently found a Vplow set up for my 2500 HD so I now plow with the much bigger truck. I also thought about using the body for a drag truck as they are pretty light as far as weight goes. Again the front clip and bed are in very good condition. I just know I would never get around to doing the racing thing. So here is your chance to get this truck for probably next to nothing. Use it as I have as your site only vehicle, sell the plow and sheetmetal and motor etc or even use to build a drag car. I was even thinking of eliminating the Fuel Injection and putting a carb on it thus eliminating the starting fluid trick. I am sure it is even worth a couple bucks as scrap metal after you take all the good stuff off. I am just too busy to mess with any of it as I already am behind on multiple projects. The truck would need a lot of time and work to make it road worthy again. So if you need parts or have creative ideas for it then bid away. It does have a FREE and CLEAR NYS TITLE This will be a NO RESERVE auction and the vehicle is sold as is with absolutely NO WARRANTY . The interior is a 5 out of 10. The head liner was sagging so it has been removed but I still have it along with some new fabric. The tires are probably at 70% This will be a PICK UP item only with no delivery available. I would recommend a flat bed or car trailer. You could drive it onto either of them. Payment must be made within 7 days of the auction ending (PAYPAL ONLY) and must be picked up within 10 days of the auction ending. Please feel free to ask ANY and ALL questions before bidding. The truck is located in Spencertown New York zip 12165. You can see in the pictures provided, tire condition and sheet metal described above. If there is anything else I can think of I will add it.On Oct-13-11 at 08:12:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Ok, I am uploading some more pictures and checked over the truck to find things/problems because frankly, I thought that I was looking at about $300 or $400 for this truck. I can't believe that this many people are interested and the bidding is going up and up. Is this a "RARE SUPER YENKO S10 PICKUP" ??????? I wish! I cleaned out the bed and the plastic Duraliner is still in great shape and had even been holding water. The tailgate is shot as well as the rear bumper as you can see in the added pictures. The under carriage doesn't appear to be that bad for the type of vehicle and its age. The Cab and Doors are original to the vehicle. The drivers side floor is shot and I had slid a piece of sheet metal under the carpet. I did however find the original bills from when I ordered the fenders and bed parts. They were from a company called VENGA. I just started the truck and drove it up and down my driveway and then parked it. I had to use the starting fluid spray again. The battery is a couple of years old and it holds a charge now, but who knows about the cold weather. Again, the hood, fenders(inners and outer) and the bed including the rear fenders are in really good shape and motor purrs once it is started, but I am an extremely honest person and do not want anyone to think that they are getting a show truck here. I was just really surprised that the bidding reached this high. I think that I have conveyed enough to you how I have used this truck for the past 7 years and what I recommend you do with it as well. I also did find the title and it is listed with NO LIENS. Again please ask ANY /ALL questions and I will post ALL of them. Thank you.
