Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1987 325is. This car has been meticulously restored to better than showroom condition. The original delphin gray paint had faded on this car as do most metallic bmw paint jobs of this era. It was resprayed back to factory finish almost two years ago by a very professional body shop. No expense was spared or corner was cut in the paint job of this car. It was completely stripped, and resprayed sparing no time or expense on materials. The ac system is the original r12 system and blows ice cold, it has been completely overhauled (see recent maintenance). The wheels and tires are ronal LS's that were purchased brand new and installed after the paint job with new yokohama tires. The car is extremely tight and is one of the best handling e30's I have ever driven. I hate to sale this car but because of life changes and lack of use I have decided to sale it to someone who can appreciate it for what a wonderful car it is. It will make for a wonderful daily driver or weekend cruiser. The car has 168k miles. Recent maintenance includes:Control arms, control arm bushings, tie rods, swaybar links/mounts, and strut mounts have been replaced. The transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch was installed at this time. The transmission shifts smoother than any other e30 I have ever driven. It does not have any signs of the annoying "getrag rattle" that most of these cars have. All belts including timing belt were replaced. The valves were adjusted at this time. A new waterpump, thermostat, and front cam seal were installed at this time as well. All ac orings and rubber hoses were replaced. The condensor, receiver dryer, and expansion valve were replaced as well. The compressor was replaced with a newer low mileage unit.New airfilter and sparkplugs. All new exterior seals and rubber gaskets.New door handlesRebuilt door lock tumblersBrand new black bmw floormatsAll new odometer gearsALL interior light bulbs in the instrument cluster and hvac controls were replaced Modifications include: Turner motorsport ecu chipbilstien sport shocks with h&r sport springsfront strut bracemint condition mtechII steering wheel (smaller diameter)B&M short shift kitMaplight rear view mirrorFront and rear plastic bumpersbmw liscent plate filler front and reareuro trimkeyless glovebox latchone piece shift knob/bootcustom slim sub boxarmrest rear seat with rear headrestsLate model plastic front and rear bumpers. *rear bumper was shortened to fit the early model body.BMW is' front lipMtechII replica rear valance. *note, a replica valance was purchased as it would have to be shortened to fit the early style body. It was cut and seamlessly fused back together to fit.Brand new factory is' skirts were purchased with new hardware and were painted/installed during the paint job.Euro grills with US elipsoid headlights5k hid kit installed in low beamsKeyless entryEarly style rear deck and third brake light were replaced with the smaller better looking late model deck/brakelight.Black powdercoated valve cover.Custom low-profile sub box with JL audio 10'' sub powered by 2x Blaupunkt velocity VA1400 ampsPrecision power component speakers Issues:Brake pads are starting to get thin and will need replacing soon. The trunk lid lip spoiler has a couple of cracks in the paint, this rubber piece was dried out prior to painting and in need of replacement but I had the shop paint it anyway as my original plan was to source and mtechI rear spoiler to replace it.While the interior is black leather and in great condition, the driver seat was showing some wear. I swapped in a black vinyl driver seat for the time being and I have sourced a mint set of leathers to recover the driver seat. While the above issues are rather minor I want to make sure I have full disclosure about anything on the car prior to the sale. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, please email me if you would like my phone number to discuss any details about the car. Buyer is responsible for pick up and delivery of the vehicle. It is ready to drive across the country if you wish to pick it up. I'm located less than 2 hours from three major airports (New Orleans, Jackson, Biloxi). I'd be happy to meet the buyer at any of these airports or anywhere within a reasonable driving distance.
