If you have been looking for a 1950 Bel air 2 Dr HT this is the one you might want to consider. This is a milestone car as it is one of the first hard top Bel air models produced only in 1950. This automobile is in great condition as the photos will show. The owner has asked me to list it for him. He has owned the car since 2009. He bought the car at a Chevrolet dealership where it had been on display in their showroom. This car was restored in 1999.The car looks great in its green mist paint, which is in great condition.There are no chips or dings.The paint has been color sanded and then buffed. There is no rust or bubbling of the paint. All of the chrome and stainless has been replated or buffed out and is in excellent condition. All rubber molding around the glass has been replaced as well. All glass is in very good condtion without any chips or cracks. All body panels line up very well. The hood ornament is new. The tires have almost all of their tread left and the spare has not been on the ground. As you can see the wheels and hubcaps are in very good condition. Moving to the driveline, the engine was gone through in 1999 also and was replaced with the better and perfomance enhanced 235 straight six. The car has a 3 speed manual transmission, dual exhaust and runs and performs very nicely. The car still retains its 6 volt battery system. A new battery was installed in July 2009. New brakes were put on at that time as well. To be honest in our discription the odometer, speedometer, and gas gauge are not working. Everthing else is in working order. Moving to the interior only one word needs to describe it mint. Headliner with chrome accents all in great condtion. New carpet was installed and shows no wear. Door panels, seat covers and dash show very little wear if any. All windows roll up and down very well. All rubber weatherstrip and window felts are in very good condition. The owner has driven and enjoyed this car from day 1. Taking it out on nice days and taking it to car shows where it has won numerous awards. In conclusion the owner is wanting to move to other interests and is willing to part with this great car. This car is priced very reasonably in todays marketplace. Included in the sale are some photos and receipts from the restoration. Also included is the owners manual. Again the restoration was completed in 1999 and shows very little wear. There is a lean still on the car so arrangements will have to be made with the buyer and the seller. A deposit of 500 dollars will be required within 48 hours of close of auction with remainder to be paid at time of pick up in the form of money order, cashiers check, or cash.
