This Jaguar requires engine repair/ or replacement . The engine lost traction, stopeed runinng - I took it to the service and the mechanic mentioned something about the timing change replacement, a repair estimated in the 1500 $ zone. - The original engine ( 1999) was replaced with a 2000 engine that had 35 000 miles at the time. I drove about 50 000 miles since the engine replacement. There was a fender a fender bender last year: someone hit me from behind, lightly. It required only replacing two clamps and re-painting the back bumber. The car looks great for a 1999, with the wear and tear normal for the time. I always kept it in the garage. All was in perfect working order before the engine failure, including the air conditioning / heating, I drove it daily.
