The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on my experience driving it and my observations of it. While I strive for complete accuracy in my descriptions, you are buying a used vehicle with miles in excess of 100k. I cannot guarantee anything. I am not a mechanic. I do not have the training or equippment to offer a thorough mechanical inspection. Each bidder is encouraged to view this vehicle in person before bidding. Please be sure to review this description in its entirity, including all photos and my terms & conditions, before placing your bid. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1990 BMW 735i. The 735 was a true drivers BMW, offering full sized luxury with a bullet proof inline six cylinder engine. I would rate the exterior condition of this BMW as AVERAGE for the age and miles. While this BMW is far from new, it does clean up pretty well. Expect to find scratches, dings and scrapes here and there as you would with any vehicle approaching the 200k mark. The worst thing I can say about the exterior is that the windshield is cracked pretty badly and will not pass most state inspections. There are two or three rust spots about the size of a nickel on the doors which is normal...actually, this 735 has less rust than most I've seen. I would rate the interior of this BMW as AVERAGE for the age and miles. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets don't show too badly for the age of the vehicle. The wood trim has also aged pretty well. The headliner is sagging as usual. One of the hinges to the drivers seat is not right, which gives it a slight lean to the center. The glove box will not stay latched. The leather seats look good for their age. The power windows, locks, mirrors, seats and sunroof all work as they should. The trunk is clean and spacious. The climate control is fully automatic, offering different settings for each side. The air conditioner blows ice cold air still. Mechanically, this BMW is in fair condition for its age. The 3.5L inline six starts right up and runs well. The engine makes good power still which makes accelleration a breeze. This 735i will cruise down the highway at 90mph without breaking a sweat. When driving this car, you can smell that it is leaking oil by a slight burning smell. I don't know the source of the leak...and it is not dripping onto the ground. Most likely it's a valve cover gasket seeping onto something hot. The suspension is worn significantly. You can feel that it is loose in the front end as well as the rear. The transmission engages and shifts okay for the miles and age of the car. You can hear some noise coming from the rear end. The brakes stop the car well. I've driven this car about 100 miles with no trouble. There are no warning lights on and it doesn't get hot. This car is nowhere near new, but still wants to be driven.
