Up for auction is a 1975 Caprice Convertible with less than 60,000 original miles. Unfortunately, the body does not represent the mileage. This car was purchased new by my late uncle and was hardly driven. However, it was not garage kept and has been sitting since 1991. The quarter panels will need new panels and the floors have some rust in them. The floors have had repairs started but not finished. I do have a good used pair of rust free fenders for this car that I purchased from a guy in California. I paid $600.00 for the fenders and shipping. The top does not have any holes in it, but I would replace it. The convertible top motor is still in working condition. I have had the motor started and it surprisingly runs well. I do believe that the carb needs to be rebuilt though. It will idle just fine, but wants to quit when you put the car in drive. The interior is in fairly good shape. The dash cover does not have any cracks in it and should not need replaced. I wish that I could keep the car, but it has been stored at a friends house and he is needing it moved. Before I decided to sell the car, I had several people interested in buying it. Hopefully I will have the same luck now that I have to sell it. Please ask any questions before bidding. I will require a $500.00 deposit within 24hrs of the end of the auction. Car will need to be picked up within two weeks unless other arrangements have been made.
