Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is my 1970 Chevrolet C-10. I have had this truck for three plus years and now I've decided to part with it. We have enjoyed using this truck and it has been completely perfect the whole time we have had it. I thought we would keep this truck forever but I've accumulated too many vehicles and now it's time for one to go, I would rather sell it than leave it outside and see it deteriorate. I purchased the truck from the neighbor of the original owner who was 91 Years old when he sold it. The truck has been garaged all of its life, I have all the original documents including the Owners manual, Title, Sales agreement, and Dealer "Thank You" letter . The truck has had one repaint some time ago and has held up well, there are many nicks and scratches but no major body damage. It had floor pans and rocker panels replaced at that time as well, they are functional but not perfect. When I purchased it I had some things done mechanically and cosmetically. I had the wheels powder coated and it has bias ply tires that have very good tread. We painted the bumpers and re-anodized the grille. Replaced the inner fenders, the entire exhaust system, gave it a complete tune up ,belts, hoses filters etc.and detailed the engine. I had the seat re-upholstered in the original grain and vinyl and had seat belts installed for all three passengers and replaced the steering wheel. The paint on the interior is original and looks really great. I found an N.O.S. tailgate that is perfect with original paint, but it is not metalic like the truck.(No one has noticed) and it has the original T-3 headlights! This truck has the original 6 cylinder with three speed on the column and 75,000 actual miles. It drives like it did in 1970 the heat is awesome and it truly needs nothing mechanically. I was not afraid to use this truck, as long as the weather was good I used it every week to do errands and go to the recycle center. It has NEVER let me down.Oil was changed regularly and it has always been garaged. The paint is beginning to fade on the hood and tops of the fenders but I tried a spot and it will buff out. The bed floor is steel and is not rotted, I made no attempt to doctor up the look of this truck the floor is rusty because I used it and I hope the next owner will do the same. This is no garage queen and thats what makes it so much fun.People go nuts for this wherever I go because you rarely see these in original condition, most of these were Hot Rodded long ago. Please take the time to read some of my feedback I have now and have always had 100% feedback because I am very careful and honest in my descriptions, I dont want anyone dissatisfied with their purchase. For that reason I welcome you to inspect the vehicle or have it checked out. There is no warranty expressed or implied and the vehicle is being sold As-Is where-is. Feel free to contact me and I will answer all of your questions to the best of my ability. Please remember that when you bid you are entering a legally binding contract and you will be expected to pay in full within 7 Days.
