I am listing this car for sale on behalf of a close relative who bought the car for him and his wife to enjoy in their retirement. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and their plan never came to be before her passing. He has been an avid lifelong car collector, restorer and builder, but this one particular vehicle is no longer desired in his collection for understandable reasons. Please note that due to a glitch within ebay, the year of the vehicle had to be entered as a 1980, however the vehicle is actually a 1984. This 1984 Ferrari 400i Super America as evident by the photos, is absolutely beautiful and as fine an example to be found. Please keep in mind that I know the man much more than the vehicle, however I welcome any questions you may have. If I do not know the answer, I will find it out for you. I photographed the Ferrari for the purpose of this ad, and it is a beautiful car that looks and runs nowhere near it's 27 years of age. On Oct-03-11 at 14:35:40 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: 10/3/11 - In response to some questions asked, the Model as shown on the title for this vehicle is "Super America". Some have said this cannot be, however that is what is stated on the title. Unfortunately the service history is unknown, but the car does run and drives very well. The owner bought the car while visiting his home in Manhattan with the intent of taking it to their home in Naples to drive around town. They saw the car, his wife liked it, and he bought it. The whole deal was probably done in less than an hour. Something I did not notice during the time of taking the photos but learned later is the the tires, although showing excellent tread, does have some minor weather cracking. I also understand it does not have a factory spare. Yes, the paint and body look just as good in person as they do in the photos. The interior is also excellent and very plush. One caller stated that it would have not come from the factory like that, but if the interior was re-done, it was an excellent job.
