Vehicle Detail
The Car This is a 1929 Ford STEEL Roadster Rolling Chassis/Body professionally built and converted from a Ford Coupe. This configuration offers much more leg room. The car was built in the classic Traditional 50's Hot Rod or Rat Rod style and is a bit of a nod to Socal Kustom Kulture Art legend Keith Weesner's painting, "Rodders Tool Box". This "roller" was built with all vintage Ford steel parts, not reproductions, it is the real deal. Details The vintage Ford steel body started as a 1929 Ford Model A Coupe and was professionally transformed into a Roadster. It has been heavily kustomized with the following details: Fresh deep red/burgundy paint, 4" channel over the frame, the doors and trunk have been welded shut and filled in, 40 Ford dash with kustom round/tear drop gauge openings, recessed fuel filler, recessed license plate area and '50 Ford tail lights. The radiator shell was chopped and sectioned and painted to match the body. The Frame is fully boxed, molded and Z'd 4" in front and 12" in the rear and was painted to match the body. The suspension is Ford Model A split wishbone with a "Super Bell" 4" drop front axle, '40 Ford spindles, new king pins, Ford Model A springs front and back, 9" Ford rear end out of an early pickup with new seals, bearings and rear brakes, kustom front shock mount/head light bar that along with the wishbones are all powder coated gloss black. New chrome front shocks, new chrome head lights, original '40 Ford wheels and hub caps, period correct and expensive new Coker Firestone "big and little" white wall tires, 6.00 front and 7.60 rear. '48 Ford drums and backing plates, '54 Old's master cylinder, all new brake parts, cyl's and hoses. '48 Ford F-1 steering box and '40 For steering column. Many extras including: '39 Ford "torque tube" lakes style headers for a small block, "Hallock Style" wind shield frame, drive shaft from mock up, 1 roll of high quality heat/noise insulation and high-temp adhesive, pedals, misc. switches, trim and hardware to finish your new masterpiece. Set up in mock up for a Small Block V8 and Turbo 350 but motor mounts are not drilled leaving some wiggle room choices. This is a really nice Traditional Hot Rod "roller", it is not a 100 pt. show car but definately not a Rat. It is a piece of American Hot Rod History! All the expensive and time consuming metal and body work is done! Drop in your drive train, electrical and interior of choice and you can be on the road very quickly. No engine or trans is included in this auction. Good luck bidding, low reserve. Send me an ebay message if you have any questions. Deposit of $1,000 dollars is due within 24 hours of auction close and final payment within 7 days of auction close. Auction subject to early termination, for sale locally in San Jose, CA. Fine Print: This is a almost turn-key rolling chassis, no drivetrain(engine, trans, radiator, interior, electrical, etc is included in this auction other than what was in the description as included. I am a private party with a job, kids, etc. so if you message me please give me a bit of time to respond. :) Sold "as is". I own the roller free and clear and have a title for it. This is a very Kool '29 Ford Roaster Roller, good luck. On Sep-27-11 at 14:23:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Note, deposit of $ 2,000 required as per Paypal option.
