2003 Land Rover Discovery S Year: 2003Milage: 128,553Up for auction is our beautiful, rust-free Land Rover Discovery. We are the second owners of the vehicle; we purchased it in 2003 from Carmax at which time it had about 10,000 miles on it. Throughout the life of the vehicle we have had regularly scheduled maintanence done on the vehicle, and I have some of the records of this available. Since purchasing we have added the following:- Landrover's 6-disc CD Changer- Running boards- Roof Rack (see photos)This totals about $3000 worth of upgrades. More recently we have purchased four new tires in March of this year; this cost in excess of $1000. We also have replaced the rear axle seal and rear brakes, including brake pads and rotors. In March we also replaced the coolant plate. The upper intake gasket was replaced in July of 2010. We have records for all of these more recent repairs.Now we will carefully explain known issues with our vehicle. The exterior of the vehicle is in very good condition; I will include photos of the few minor scratches that exist. The roof rack has some peeling taking place on it, which is also pictured. The latch pin for the side panel where the gas tank is accessed is missing, so the door has issues staying closed. The rear door is difficult to open and needs some servicing; we have had it open recently, but at the moment it seems jammed again. The interior is also in generally good condition; the front driver's seat has some tearing in the leather, and I have included photos of this as well; the passenger's seat has the beginnings of a tear, but it is very minor; this is pictured as well. On the back of the passenger's seat there are some stains, probably from our 2-year old who rode there for a while. The leather housing for the emergency brake is a bit worn. The passenger window is closed but is off track, which causes some difficulty with closing. Other than these things, I am not aware of any other issues with the interior.Recently the check engine light came on and indicates the following service codes: P0303 and P0300. These indicate a possible injector problem, and causes the vehicle to misfire primarily on the driver's bank. Secondary ignition appears okay. The affect on the vehicle's operation is at times a resultant lack of fuel reaching the piston on the driver's side, so at times we have experienced some sputtering upon initially starting the vehicle. I would suggest that the buyer have vehicle serviced prior to any long trips. Otherwise, the vehicle runs very well. The vehicle is licensed in the state of Virginia and therefore requires an annual safety inspection, which was just passed in June of this year.
