Here is a 1995 Volkswagen Golf MKIII Sport. 5 speed. Runs and drives! 92,000k Kelly Blue Books at $1900. Clean title in hand. This would make a great car for a mechanic or VW fan. Just a good fixer-upper in general. Good things about it: New high performance thermostat New water pump Newer iridium 100,000 mile spark plugs Newer spark plug wires Stock matching alloy rims 4" muffler Clean race style interior out of GTI Newer KYB struts/shocks 80% tread on tires Euro dash New front speakers GTI smoked tail lights Black VW badges Glowing shift knob Aftermarket side mirrors The bad: The battery doesn't hold the best charge, so it has to be jumped sometimes. The exterior is kind of rough, there's some rust/poorly done body work on one of the quarter panels. No radio, due to it's faceplate being stolen. The driver's side door hinge sags a little. You just have to lift up when you shut it. The clutch is going bad. Sometimes it has a tick, and sometimes it doesn't. Not too sure why. Needs a fan switch. They're $20 at Advanced Auto Parts, and extremely easy to put on, I just haven't got around to it. Right now I just hook my fan up manually every time I drive it.
