The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on my experience driving this car and my observations about it. While I strive for complete accuracy in my descriptions, you are bidding on a used vehicle with miles in excess of 100k. I cannot guarantee anything. I am not a mechanic. I don't have the training or equippment to provide a professional mechanical inspection. Each bidder is encouraged to come see this vehicle in person before placing a bid. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1997 Saturn SW2. I am a big fan of older Saturns as long as they have the DOHC engine (SL2, SW2 and SC2). If you follow my auctions, you will know that I never buy Saturn's with the single cam engine...I think they are junk. Anyway, I would rate the exterior condition of this Saturn as ABOVE AVERAGE. There are a few scrapes and scratches on the rear bumper. Otherwise, she is in pretty good shape. There are no other major scratches or damage worth mentioning. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires have good tread left all around. This is a great looking wagon. I would rate the interior condition of this Saturn as ABOVE AVERAGE. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout. The headliner is clean and in tact. All of the seats show very well. This Saturn is pretty well equipped. It has power windows, locks and mirrors...all are working properly. Additionally, this wagon is optioned with traction control and cruise control. The climate control system is working properly. The air conditioner blows ice cold air, too. The stereo sounds good. The only stupid thing this wagon does is sometimes it wants to keep the key in the ignition. As these keys wear, the ignition sometimes doesn't want to release the key. Cutting a new key is an easy fix for this...you just have to get one cut from the VIN and wait until the car decides to release the one in it now, haha. Mechanically, this SW2 appears to be in good running condition. The 1.9L DOHC engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I saw no leaks or smoke from this engine. I have personally driven this wagon almost 300 miles and it drives great. The suspension and steering are nice and tight. The brakes stop this car with no issues. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. The engine keeps a good temperature at all times and there are no warning lights on. This is a good little wagon with good miles.
