Vehicle Detail

A truly rare 1940 1/2 ton panel delivery truck. Would make a great rat rod or street rod or could be restored to original condition. Ford flat head engine the radiator was taken out, so I am not sure of the condition of the motor. This is a great chance to own a very rare and awesome peice of history. I have looked this over and its amazing how solid and original it is, right down to the original frame and wooden floors that has stood the test of time. The running boards and fenders have some dents, there is some rust through on the rear door outside and on the inside of the passenger door and a cut in the front driver's side fender, no restoration shop would turn down fixing this one up due to rot. I can provide more information and additional pictures if needed, e-mail Syndram@embarqmail.com or call (260) 327-3495 (please leave a message). Buyer will pay all shipping costs. This car is being sold as is, where is condition with no warranties implied or expressed! All inspections of vehicle must be done prior to end of auction, all sales are final! Balance due within 5 business days of auctions end. RESERVE RIGHT TO END EARLYOn Sep-26-11 at 05:51:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if this may be a 1939 3/4 or 1 ton panel truck, I am not an authority on this and do not know, I listed the truck by what the individual I bought it from told me, it is registered as a 1940 on the title. For some reason the e-mail questions are not appearing on my listing, so I am adding this one (unfortunately, I was not able to find a Ford etched script with the production date). Thanks to those who have commented to me about this. I hope this helps. Dear 3sid, Possibly built late in 39 but is a 40 model. The 3/4 ton thru 2 ton used the truck front fenders and hood. The 1/2 ton uses similar hood and fenders as the 39 ford deluxe and 40 standard car. Take a look at the glass. If any of it is original, there will be a production date by a tiny ford script etched into the glass. Thanks again. - amazonjudy From: 3sid To: amazonjudy Subject: Re: Other: amazonjudy sent a message about Ford #170701328622 Sent Date: Sep-25-11 18:22:50 PDT Dear amazonjudy, Thanks for the correction, I have also been told that it is a 39 Ford, I just went by what the former owner and title stated. - 3sid From: amazonjudy To: 3sid Subject: Other: amazonjudy sent a message about Ford #170701328622 Sent Date: Sep-24-11 22:52:30 PDT Dear 3sid, You may wish to know your panel truck is a 1940 ford 3/4 ton truck. thank you. - amazonjudy
