This is an absolutely awesome motorcycle. My grandfather bought it new, back in 1974 and road it for years before passing away quite a few years back. Being an engineer, he was extremely active on keeping up with every detail. He cleaned it, took it took the dealership for service, and kept records as well as all the patches given to him when purchasing the bike. Everything was in the hard cased saddle bags, including the receipt from when the dealership installed the ferring and bags. As for overall condition, it has been sitting on the center stand in my fathers garage for quite some time. He kept it clean and stored properly but was never able to ride it, and I recently inherited it. My wife is due for a child soon and would really prefer me to stay off of it, and I will reluctantly oblige. I am not a bike enthusiast, but took the bike to a local shop that specializes in them for so tuning and oil change before we tried firing it. They were in love with it, the paint is in perfect shape, as well as the chrome. After they did their tune up they hit the electric start and it fired and ran perfectly. They did mention that new tires should probably be purchased before hitting the open road, but that was their only concern. I was going to clean and detail the bike but they reccomended, letting the buyer do this work because on an older bike you can do a lot of damage with a detailing if you dont know what your doing. For shipping, I have never shipped a large item like this. I will certainly help in anyway I can to help you ship the item, but the cost will be on you as the buyer. I would much prefer someone to come to Buffalo and pick it up in person, but like I said will help ship any way you would like.
