The description you are about to read is my opinion of this vehicle based on my experience driving this vehicle and my observations about it. While I strive for complete accuracy in my descriptions, you are bidding on a used vehicle with an excess of 100k miles. I cannot guarantee anything. I am not a mechanic. I do not have the training or equippment to perform an in depth inspection of each vehicle. Each bidder is encouraged to come see this vehicle in person before placing a bid. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Please be sure to read this description in its entirity, including reviewing all photos and the terms & conditions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is an unusually nice 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. The Jeep Cherokee needs no introduction. It's reputation truly preceeds it. This example is especially desirable because it is the hard to find two door version outfitted with an equally hard to find manual transmission. I would rate the condition of the exterior of this Jeep to be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. As you can see, this is a great looking Jeep. The clear coat is peeling on the hood (see photo). Otherwise, this Jeep is in remarkable condition. The paint shines great. There are no major dents, dings or scratches on the exterior. I saw no rust on the body of this Cherokee. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The polished sport alloy wheels look great and are wrapped in new looking tires all around. I would rate the interior of this Jeep to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full throughout. The cloth has been removed from the headliner. The headliners in Jeeps are known to sag. The prior owner most likely removed the cloth due to sagging. The seats are clean and comfortable throughout. The cargo area is clean and spacious. The stereo system has been upgraded to a CD system. The climate control center is working properly. The air conditioner blows ice cold air, too! Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in great condition. The 4.0L engine also needs no introduction. It starts right up and runs smoothly and quietly. I saw no smoke or leaks coming from this engine. During my road test, this Cherokee exhibited excellent road manners. The suspension and steering is nice and tight like it should be. The brakes stop the truck well. The engine keeps a steady operating temperature and holds great oil pressure. The clutch is strong and gear changes are as they should be. The 4WD system is tested and working properly. The only thing I am aware of that this Jeep will need is an upstream oxygen sensor. This desirable Jeep is being offered to the highest bidder right before the winter 4x4 rush.
