For sale is a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. This truck is a short box, regular cab, two wheel-drive model equipped with an automatic transmission and 5.9L (360 cid) V8 Magnum engine. I bought this truck from a used car dealer in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2008 and have driven it roughly 13k miles. It now has about 78k miles on it. Some items to note: FL truck – no rust. Truck has been stored winters since I've had it in NY. Body is in great shape, but the paint is chipping/flaking on the hood and roof and there is a small crease on the driver’s side of the rear bumper. Dash is cracked in several places. Cloth portion of headliner is falling down. Mechanically the truck is sound. Everything works as it should, except for the digital thermometer/compass on the in-cab roof which is no longer functional. New parts: front brakes (rotors and pads), Optima Redtop Battery, radiator, thermostat, water pump, coolant hoses, serpentine belt and two BF Goodrich Radial Long Trail TA tires (on the front). The Goodyear tires on the rear have roughly 60-70% tread-life remaining. Truck recently passed NYS vehicle inspection – good through August 2012. If purchased at the Buy It Now price, I’ll add a set of four 18 inch chrome rims with three like-new Falken tires (see pictures) that were on the vehicle when I purchased it. One tire is missing because it recently went flat, was not repairable, and the manufacturer discontinued the model. For this reason I’ve installed the stock 16 inch alloy rims (with aforementioned BF Goodrich Radials on the front and Goodyear tires on the rear). The truck has Sonly Xplod speakers in the cab, a Kenwood CD/MP3 headunit with Ipod and USB hookups as well as a 6 disc Kenwood CD changer located behind the driver’s seat. Other amenities/options: Power locks, power windows, power mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt wheel, electric driver seat, running boards, fiberglass tonneau cover, dual exhaust.
