THIS IS THE ONLY REAL 850R CURRENTLY LISTED ON EBAY OR IN THE SOUTHEAST USA!!!! VERY RARE CAR!!! I am going to try to describe the condition as best I can on this car so please if you are interested read the entire post. 1996 Volvo 850R. Bright Red with tan leather and suede interior. This is by far my favorite car ever. This is a very nice 1996 850R for its age and mileage. The paint looks incredible. It has just over 184k but do not let that scare you since this car has been 100% mechanically rebuilt by a Volvo Master Mechanic. Everything on the engine is new in the past 5k miles. The engine was thoroughly gone through with a complete valve job and all new seals and gaskets. The timing belt was replaced as well as the water pump and all seals tensioners etc. that go along with that major job. ONLY All original Volvo parts were used. The full tune up was performed at the same time on the car including Spark plug and wires. The turbo was replaced with a rebuilt original Volvo turbo at 155k miles. The alternator is a new Bosch Alternator and was replaced in the last year or so. This car runs and drives absolutely amazing. The suspension rides extremely smooth and at the same time the car stays glued to the road. The car has 2 brand new Toyo Tires on the front and the rears have 60-70% tread left. The brakes have 8k miles on them including premium slotted rotors and Akebono pads. This is an extremely nice mechanically speaking car. It drives better than my other 850 T5 that has half the miles. There is absolutely nothing needed mechanically on the car. All of the fluids are fully serviced and there are zero leaks of any kind in my garage. The car has lived in Georgia its whole life so there is zero rust anywhere on the car. The paint looks incredible for a 15 year old car. Lots of life left in it. All of the paint is original volvo red paint except for the passenger side rear quarter panel that was repainted due to a parking lot incident. It is not show car quality but the match is pretty good in my eyes and I am very picky about paint. There is also a few dents on the drivers side rear quarter panel that can be seen in the photos. It was in an accident on the front bumper. There are light scratches and some tiny indentions that you can see if you look really close. The paint is original on the bumper and there was zero damage anywhere else from the fender bender. This is a 15 year old car and the body and paint look as good as most 5 year old cars. Please do not expect perfection as it is 15 years old. Now to the not so good stuff. The interior. The tan suede interiors on these cars just does not hold up very well. The seats are not perfect, In fact they look bad in my opinion. I have photographed all of the bad stuff on the seats and the interior so please look at all of the pictures. The door panels are ok but not perfect and the headliner is starting to sag. The center console wood trim is broken and missing near the shifter. You can see this as well as the wear on the leather on the shift knob in the photo. Overall I would rate the interior a 6 out of 10. It is showing its age. Everything works on the car there is just some wear due to age and mileage. This is a 100% Stock completely unmolested and unmodified car. Almost all parts are original Volvo or Original Volvo replacement parts on this car. It has not been hot rodded or abused and has been adult owned. Real "R" cars are getting very hard to find now that are not modified or worn out and abused. There were not very many of these cars made and there are even less still around. This is your chance to own THE LAST REAL VOLVO MADE!!! This was the last non Ford Volvo that was made and considered by most enthusiasts as the best Volvo ever made. While not a time capsule car, with a little love on the interior this can once again be a beautiful 850R Volvo! We are a licensed dealer in GA. All GA residents will have to pay Sales tax.
