Each vehicle is thoroughly road tested before being listed on eBay. The description I write for eBay is based on my experience driving this vehicle and my observations about it. While I strive for complete accuracy in my descriptions, I am not a mechanic. You are bidding on a used vehicle with over 100k miles. I cannot guarantee anything. All bidders are encouraged to come see this vehicle in person before bidding. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1999 Saturn SL2. I love Saturns because they are simple, cheap and reliable. If you follow my auctions, you will see that I only buy Saturns that are equipped with the DOHC engine (SL2, SW2 and SC2). I never buy the single cam cars. This SL2 appears to be in ABOVE AVERAGE physical condition. You can expect some normal scratches on the bumpers and what not. All of the glass and lenses are in tact. The tires have excellent tread all around. This is a good looking car overall. I would rate the condition of the interior of this Saturn as AVERAGE. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean for the miles. The headliner has some stains (not sure how that even happens). The seats show well and are comfortable throughout. The trunk is clean and spacious. The rear seats fold down for even more cargo room. The stereo has been upgraded to a Sony CD player. The climate control system is in good working order. The air conditioner blows ice cold air, too. Mechanically, this Saturn appears to be in good running condition. The 1.9L DOHC engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I did not notice any leaks or smoke from the engine. During my road test, this little car behaved pretty well. Other than an airbag light, there are no warning lights on and the temperature stayed nice and cool. The engine makes good power and runs smoothly. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering is responsive and the brakes stop the car well. Out on the highway, there is a slight vibration in the steering at speeds over 70 mph. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. This will make a great car for someone to get around in. The miles are low for a Saturn which makes this one an excellent value.
