Up for auction is this highly restorable 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. This was my uncle's baby, but he is not able to drive it anymore because of health reasons. I am listing it here on Ebay for my cousin, who asked me to do so for two reasons. The first reason is he knew I have used Ebay for years and would be able to list it, and the second is because he wants to get it out of the garage, and allow someone else to enjoy it. I can tell you a few things about this car, some of which you can probably see from the pics. The car was always garaged while owned by my uncle, and shows no rust. The chrome is in very good shape, with no pitting or rust. A separate FM radio and cassette player have been added under the dash, to supplement the standard AM radio. There are no missing body markings, and all are in good shape. It has the wide whitewall tires, with good rubber left on them. Fender skirts and headlight louvers have also been added to dress up the appearance of the car. It is equipped with the 352 Thunderbird V-8 engine, rated at 220 hp, and has dual exhausts. The only defect I know of personally is a tear in the seam of the front bench seat on the passenger side, which seems to me to be an easy fix. As far as I know, the mileage is actual, but the car has been repainted and a new top installed. I'm not sure whether this was done by my uncle when he bought the car, or previously, or whether he is just the second owner.
