Vehicle runs excellent,above average mechanical condition for the year and mileage. It is quiet on the hwy.,quite unusual,no engine noise,no bearing noise,very smooth.It does not overheat,the antifreeze is clean with no residue in the expansion tank,radiator and hoses are fairly new,engine temperature is allways a little bellow middle range,no headgasket issue on this car.It has a new gas cap,that is a issue with the old Subaru's,looks like the previous owner attended to all the usual issues,car can be trusted on a long trip,without hesitation. Transmission shifts smooth,strong brakes and matching tires,with about 40% tread left on all four,no alignment issue. Relatively clean car,books,tools and full size spare included. AC is cold,no warning lights,radio and power windows&locks work. No power mirrors and cruise control,belive it or not,those are not standard on early Forester models...
