1984 chevy monte carlo ss survivor.This ss has the original white paint and original blue and white interrior with blue ssitching head rests a friend mineowned the car and around 15 years ago he and his dad were going to build a street legal racer.They bought a built 327 told 13:1 compression and installed it and his dad passed away.The car was put into storage and forgotten untill my friend was contacted and asked if he or his dad owned a 1984 ss and he said yes, but no one knew what happened to it.Well the custodian said if the storage was paid on the car legally it was his...I asked what he was doing with the car he said he could not work on it thinking of his dad so he offfered it to me.I bought it and have done some work and stored it a while now with the full intention on restoring this beautifull car .He sold me the original 305 and many parts with it.I drained the gas and bought a new gas tank and new sending unit and got a priming tool and primed the oil and put fresh gas in it and bought and installed a new battery and it fired right up we drove it down the street and back no problems everything seems to work properly and it does have some rumpity rump in this powerfull 327.It does need a new distributor cap..My wife lost her job and we have a 3 yr old so even though it hurts to sell this baby i have no choice...It has no rust through any body panels,No rust through quarters,no rust through rockers,no rust through fenders,no rust through trunk. or floors!!!There is a small pin hole above drivers door on top of drip rail area.It is actually like a time capsule thats has been stored correctly not in a barn or chicken coop.I took the back seat out and took pics of the floor and took pics of the trunk and floor pans they are like new.There are a few spots of surface rust just starting but even if sanded would not rust through.I have a 100% rating and my honor is important to me!!! I have sold 2-3 other of my personal vehicles on here and still retain my 100% feedback because i would not want someone describing to me anything but the accurate truth of condition. I am not a time waster or a used cars salesman to me, a liar and a thief are the same.If you are looking for a nice original 84 ss with alot of parts including the orignal engine and tranny to restore.This is the one for you.Now this car is for sale locally and i have the right to end auction early if need be.It comes with a built 327 and runs also the 305 engine with boxes of parts and an extra front clip, cowl induction hood, original wheels.Car is sold as is where is.I encourage buyers to come and see this car in person it really is extrordinarily nice for 27 years old.,.Buyer pays for shipping of everything.I do not mind helping any way i can but shipping is your responsiblity. Thanks Jim 330-371-3573On Sep-20-11 at 16:24:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had alot of questions on what the reserve is.And i have had questions about the minor fender bender the reason i have an extra front clip or nose is it was scraped at a parking lot and a vehicle incident report was made there was no damage except a scrape or rub on the front nose to the paint so it was switched out but i have the original and its still in very nice shape with original paint except the scrape or or rub on the paint that happened at a parking lot.Now the reserve is not given out but i have it for sale locally for 4,000.00 thats both engines,nose or front clip,all parts to restore back to original 305.Not to mention new battery,new gas tank,new sending unit,oil change etc...Thanks Jim
