Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1981 BMW R100RT. It is a 1000cc touring bike with full faring. (CLEAR TITLE IN HAND) The bike runs great (please check out the video of it running on 8/22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxX3har5TKo) and the body is in good shape as well. I put a paint job on this bike about 3 years ago. I used BMW black which has just a little flake. The picture with the fall leaves is the bike a few weeks after I painted it. The other pictures are of the bike currently and I did not wash it down before I took the pictures..sorry. I got the bike with 98,000 miles and have put the other 5,000 miles on it running it locally only. I replaced the diode board, just put a new battery in it, put new plugs in, new fuel lines, new break line, new rubber grommets for carbs and exhaust, new valve cover gaskets, new carb gaskets, just rebuilt the master cylinder, cleaned out the gas tank, put new break pads on 5,000 miles ago, changed the fluids and greased it this past fall. THIS BIKE COMES WITH - BMW tool kit ($200), New tires and tubes ($170), leftover paint, homemade mechanic stand, seat cover, Helicoil kit ($40), 2 sets of break pads ($90), carb gasket, 2 valve cover gaskets, transmission spring and seal kit, gas cap seal, spare head light, emergency light that plugs into bike, extra bulbs, bolts, seat parts, faring parts, spark plug wire, hoses, etc... BMW bikes are amazing and they just keep going. When I asked a BMW mechanic about the high miles he told me to not be scared of anything under 200,000 miles. When adjusting the valves we noticed that there has been some preventative maintenance done in the heads and new parts. As you know that is a lot of money. This bike is peppy! I can ride a wheelie with no problem and this is not really the kind of bike that wheelies are done on :) You get a full set of Vetter trunks that are great and the two side ones detach with a key. The scratches on the trunks are not from the bike being laid over but when I was washing it I had them off and accidentally tripped over them and slid them on the asphalt. The bike runs great and I have been running it the way it is for some time but some attention will need to be given to the turn signals, the right valve cover bolt is out and that is what the helicoil is for. I would love for you to come check it out or answer any qustions. Please feel free to contact me! Thanks, Ben BCrogh7@aol.com
