Vehicle Detail
This is a 1961 Jaguar MK2 for auction. The car has been stored inside a garage since it was involved in an accident in 1983. My father had a hobbie of restoring old jaguars and bought this car nearly ten years ago. He started replacing the damaged sections in preparations for restoring the entire car, saddly he passed away before being able to complete the project. The front drivers quarter-panel and rear passengers quarter-panel were damaged in the accident and the front panel was removed but there is a replacement panel. My father had the engine running in 2006 and the rest of the car is actually in really good shape. Since the car has been stored inside it has practically no rust or rot in the metal. The interior was in really good shape before it was stripped out, the wood trim and panels, the dashboard, gauges, center console, seats and chrome trim were all saved and in good shape. The interior alone in this car is worth at least $2000. The only interior pieces missing are the drivers side door panels and the carpet and headliner. The car is actually in good shape, the engine was running only a few years ago and the body and metal are in good order for a car that is 50 years old. The exterior chrome trim, bumpers and grill are all there and in good shape, also worth hundreds. The car is complete with the exception on the interior carpet and doorpanels. The car comes with four extra doors and the replacement front quarter-panel. This car would make a great project for anyone trying to restore an antique jaguar and will look beautiful when completed. This car could also be a valuable parts car between the working engine, the mostly complete interior and the exterior chrome trim and bumpers this car easily has 3-4 thousand dollars worth of parts. I don’t wish to part it out because I need the room in the garage and don’t have the time. My reserve is $1350 because thats the money i spent on parts for another car... PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU WISH TO BUY THE CAR. Goodluck in bidding and thanks for looking!!
