Vehicle Detail

I have modified the bike a bit so that it is better than most rebels. I just put brand new pirelli tires on it (which are a lot better than the standard dunlop- I highly recomend to continue this). So that's $200 I just spent. I also put a brand new brake rotor on it january ($300) as well I replaced the original shocks with suzuki 250 shocks, which are the best you can get in this size range and give a real smooth ride (and are neccessary for rebels if you have any weight in the back like a passanger or cargo). I also replaced the wimpy sounding stock horn with a loud horn for safety reasons. Also has an added on sissy seat and a back rack for carrying cargo ($400). I also have brand new hand grips that aren't installed which look pretty nice I can give with the bike (should be easy enough to put on). Also put in a new battery january which is the best battery you can get (stock battery will go dead if you don't ride it for a long time and Wal-mart batteries are garbage don't even bother with) . Also has a new chain I put on not too long ago, which is of the more expensive variety. It needs a piece for the back turn signal where I broke the rubber on it (I put a duffel bag back there which fell off and the weight broke it). The turn signal is operative it is just being held by duck tape, because the rubber piece is broke. The peice costs $20 and needs to be ordered from a dealer or honda. I ordered new turn singals that supposedly fit "all honda bikes" that wasn't made by Honda, but they didn't fit so just order the Honda stock. The front left turn signal is also slightly busted but works, no problem. I forget how I did that. The plastic side pieces are also off the bike. These are just there for looks but if you want them I think for $30 or something you can order some new ones. And the seat has some wear and tear. So these are just small things I don't have the money right now to fix. I can't get that sticker off with the two chicks and I tried spray painting some of the chrome with chrome spray paint which looks like s*&^ in places but some paint remover will take it off. Despite all this I constantly have people compliment me on "nice bike". So I guess isn't too bad. I also would recomend do an oil change and clean up the bike and you should be set to go. This is a small bike, not recomended for big dudes. I'm six foot and skinny and its a little cramped for me, but since I'm skinny I can get buy with it. This is a good starter bike or something for a woman or smaller person. Or someone who just wants to save money on gas. I get about 90 miles per gallon on this thing. 250 engine so it definatley isn't a beast in that regards but for the price it really cruises with unbeatable gas mileage. It's a great bike I have had no problems with it, runs great. One should consider that this bike has a lot of modifications that most of the other rebels for sale don't have and this really adds up to a lot of extra money put into it, given the selling price. I'll even throw in the helmet for an extra $15 if you want it. State of Florida will also need 6% of the asking price for sales tax for me to transfer the title over to you. $1,000= $60 tax.
