What are the chances that a BMW convertible would get into an accident with ANOTHER BMW convertable? It happened to my pride and joy BMW 318 ic. My foot slipped off the brake as I was coming to a stop and at 12 miles an hour (less maybe? the airbag did not deploy) I went into the rear of a 2011 BMW 123 ic! No damage to the 2001 - a little paint scuff on the bumper. My 318 ic: the 2011 rear bumper collided with my front grill above my bumper, and I beleive it hit the 'sweet spot'. I cant open the hood to see for sure but I think it popped the motor off the mounts and dropped the transmission. No lines broke, no leaks but the car definitely will not drive, and the tranny won't shift. As I did not have collision insurance for a car this age, it clearly is not worth getting an estimate to repair it, as it would cost more than it is worth. It drove pretty well and the interior is 7-8/10. ALL black vinyl . No tears, no dashbooard cracks. Convertable top (manual) is 5-6/10 -rear window intact and clear but canvas is stiff and there are some small areas of dry rot.Windshield is cracked, otherwise glass is good. A/C was working up until the moment of accident. Carpets are 6-7/10. Radio works and casette deck too(OEM) So .......who wants a parts car? BUT NO COMPLAINING THAT I WAS NOT HONEST IN DESCRIBING THE CAR. OR, THAT I CLAIMED THAT THIS CAR COULD BE EASILY OR CHEAPLY REPAIRED AFFORDING YOU TO SAFELY DRIVE AROUND TOWN OR ACROSS COUNTRY. I DO NOT MAKE THESE CLAIMS. 2) THIS IS AS IS NO WARRANTEE NO GUARANTEE AND NO MONEY BACK!! YOU BUY IT, YOU OWN IT SO USE SOME COMMON SENSE BEFORE YOU CONSIDER BIDDING PLEASE. 3) TERMS FOR PAYMENT: CERTIFIED BANK CHECK IN ADVANCE OF RECEIVING VEHICLE. 4) YOU ARRANGE TO HAUL IT HOME AT YOUR EXPENSE.
