Hey, you are looking at a 1961 vw yellow bug. I received the car as a gift back in 2005. It was bought at a car dealership in Kansas City, Mo and the story that came with the car was that some guy had bought it brand new in Illinois and he just used it to puttt around town in. When this guy moved over to Kansas City some years later the car was parked in a garage and left sitting there for 20+ years. The car was then pulled and fixed up and put back on the road. The car was originally black but has been painted service maintance yellow. The interior is original and is not in the greatest shape. The car has been pretty much sittting now for alittle over a year. I start it up every now and then and drive it around the driveway. The little car runs good and I have never had any break-downs in it.Right now the back tail light lens cover is off of it. That back light is not working. A few years back I had the wiring re-done on it but I've always had trouble keeping that back light and the horn working. So I'm not sure what that's all about. I also had a complete valve job done a few years back and the guy told me after I put 500 miles on it to bring it back for a valve adjustment but there has not been 500 miles put on it yet. The steering has always been real tight on the car and the brakes have always been good. The car has always been trust-worthy. I would have absolutly no problem filling it up with fresh gas and changing the oil and driving it across country. "that is if the brake light was working''. The little car runs on a 6 volt battery system so there is no radio or anything like that. It has always been just a really nice daily driving car. It is looking for a home that will give it that little bit of tlc that it needs and the little car really needs someone who will drive it more often than I do. Not sure what else to say.
