Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealership might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. Then I write a detailed description of that car so it feels as close to seeing and driving the car yourself as possible. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Pre-bid inspections are welcomed and encouraged whenever possible. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. Any serious buyer is encouraged to request a private showing. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is". Most vehicles I sell are trades from local dealerships and have not been serviced or reconditioned prior to sale. Please read the entire description and review all photos carefully before bidding or asking questions. Everything I know about this vehicle is disclosed within the following paragraphs... Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 2001 Lincoln LS. This example is equipped the the optional 3.9L V8 engine and the Sport Package. Finished in silver with darkened windows and lenses plus matching 17" sport alloy wheels, this LS is certainly a good looking car. I would rate the condition of the exterior of this Lincoln as ABOVE AVERAGE. Please review all photos carefully. While there are a few flaws to the exterior of this Lincoln, none really take away from the overall good looks of the car. As mentioned before, all of the windows and lenses have been darkened. The alloy wheels (specific to cars equipped with the Sport Package) look great and are wrapped in nice rubber. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. This car gets more looks than you'd expect...but there's more to explain that later. I would rate the interior of this Lincoln as ABOVE AVERAGE. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout. The dark wood trim is all in tact and looks good still. The charcoal leather trimmed seats look great and show no signs of wear. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof also work as they should. The climate control system is fully automatic and is working properly. The air conditioner blows cold air. The stereo system is the factory Ford/Alpine premium system which sounds great. There is an in-dash CD changer as well as steering wheel audio controls. This car is equipped with Homelink integrated garage door openers, too. The trunk is clean and spacious. I only have two complaints about the interior...on the top rear corner of the drivers window, there is a noticable flaw in the tint. It's hard to notice it from the outside but it is visible and noticable inside the car. The other is that the arm rest at the console has broken at the hinge. The good news is that the part that broke (just the top cushion) is easily replaced. Otherwise, this is a great car. I've spent a few hundred miles behind the wheel of this car with no real complaints. Mechanically, this Lincoln appears to be in good running condition. The 3.9L engine starts right up and idles smoothly. As stated before, I have put about 300 miles on this car personally. There are really only two bad things I can say about this car. It feels like the lower ball joints are showing some wear. Over bumps and city streets, you can feel some play in the front end. The other is that one of the front tires is a bit noisy and should maybe get looked at. This car is an absolute blast to drive. During my entire time driving it, the engine kept proper temperature and there were no warning lights on. This car is equipped with a free flowing air intake filter and a performance exhaust. The exhaust is very subtle, letting those within a few feet know that this is a very powerfull car but quiet enough to remind you that it is a Lincoln. The smooth exhaust note draws looks from unsuspecting bystanders. The steering is responsive and direct as it should be. The brakes stop the car very well. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts as it should. These cars do come equipped with an Auto-stick mode but, to be honest, the transmission in full automatic does better than the Auto-stick. My father purchased one of these brand new in 2000 so I am familiar with these cars and how they should drive. This one is all there. The small displacement V8 revs quickly. The transmission shifts quickly and with precision, keeping the revs up near redline during "spirited motoring". This definitely will change your view of Lincoln if you've never driven one of these. The Lincoln LS is one of many mutual benefits of Fords involvement with Jaguar (in case you thought this was a Ford drivetrain). One minute in this car with the right pedal smashed and you can tell this isn't a Ford. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
