Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell cars differently than most dealers. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehicle on eBay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. I then write a detailed description of that car so it feels as close to having seen and driven it youself as possible. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Pre-bid inspections are welcomed and encouraged whenever possible. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. Any serious bidder is encouraged to request a private showing. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is". Most vehicles I sell are trades from local dealerships and have not been serviced or reconditioned prior to sale. Please read the entire description and review all photos carefully before bidding or asking questions. Everything I know about this car is disclosed within the following paragraphs... Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1998 Nissan Altima GXE. The Nissan Altima is a great value brand new and still is as a used vehicle. I have owned two personally in addition to the dozen or so I've sold on ebay. This example is finished in tan with matching tan interior. I would rate the exterior condition of this Altima as AVERAGE. There are a few spots on the hood where the clear coat has flaked off. There are some scuffs on the bumpers and one of the wheel covers is missing. Structurally, this Nissan appears to be sound. I could see no rust on the body of this car. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires all have good tread but the one front tire is a little noisy. Overall, this is a good looking vehicle with lower miles. I would rate the interior of this Altima as ABOVE AVERAGE. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout and come with a set of factory mats. The seats are clean, comfortable and show now signs of wear. The headliner is clean and in tact. This Altima comes with power windows, locks and mirrors. The drivers window does not lower...all others work properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The air conditioner blows cold air. The stereo is factory with cassette and CD up front. The volume knob has gone nuts...as some do. Sometimes when you try to turn the stereo down, it goes up...sometimes it goes down like you want...sometimes it does nothing. It's anyones guess what it's gonna do at any given time which is pretty annoying. I'd recommend replacing it. Aftermarket CD players are available anywhere...or you can probably even find a factory one right here one ebay. The trunk is clean and spacious. No real major complaints about the interior. Mechanically, this Nissan appears to be in good running condition. The KA24 engine has been a staple in the Nissan line for a decade and has been used in everyting from trucks and SUV's to sports cars and sedans. It is reliable, simple, powerfull and tough as nails. This 2.4L starts right up and runs smoothly. During my road test, this Altima behaved very well. The suspension and steering are tight and responsive as they should be. The engine keeps proper temperature at all times. The only thing I am aware of that this car will need is a knock sensor at some point. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives pretty well and shows no vibrations or pulling. The brakes do a good job and appear to be working properly. Like I said, this is a wonderfully simple engine. The only really important maintainence on this engine is oil changes. Keep up with your oil changes and you should get another 100k miles out of this engine worry free. These cars really only have one or two little quirks which I am happy to share with the high bidder to ensure the most trouble free driving. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
