Hello, Up for bid is this 1985 Mercedes 300SD. This is a great A to B car. Like most vintage mercedes, this higher mile diesel MBZ just keeps on going and going. Runs and drives great for an older Benz. It is equipped with standard mercedes equipment including the original medical bag, tool bag, power windows, sunroof, heated seats, power seats, etc... Recently, a pioneer AM/FM CD player with remote was installed and works great. With it's 4 matching Good Year (80,000 mile rated) tires that have about 80% tread, I would feel comfortable driving this car across the country if needed. The engine and transmission are solid and run great. There are lots and lots of records and receipts with this classic Benz; including a paint job, $400 tires, a new A/C compressor and lots more. Included with this sale, you will get the maintainence guides, repair books, extra hoses, belts, filter and a few other items that may come in handy. Like most all older mercedes, it has a few minor oil seeps consistent with age, but nothing dramatic. I've tried to address most of the cosmetic perfections and imperfections with the pictures. The trunk does get a little water in it when it rains hard, but it may just be the rubber liner. The interior is not perfect and consistent with age (see pics), but could be easily repaired or redone if you're so inclined, but not necessary. The back windows are not currently working, but i don't know why. With the exception of the 'clicking' on the drivers side, the front windows work fine. The A/C works but needs freon on occasion. Because the 'auto' valve stopped functioning reliably, a manual switch has been installed for a/c or heat. All the gauges function and read accurately, but the odometer doesn't move anymore. Sunroof works great and the cruise control won't engage. The registration and inspection stickers are current. That's about all I can think of. Please contact me if you have any questions.
