You are looking at a gorgeous 1966 F100 that has been owned by the same family since july 30th 1966 so I look in the glove box and I find the original paperwork for the 1966 truck including the protecto plate still taped on the inside of the original owners manual. also ford actually typed the original purchasers information right in the manual right above the protecto plate which matches the family's name on the pink slip I received. the green family took amazing care of this truck only putting 60,000 miles on it and it absolutely looks beautiful . Now this truck does look stock from the outside view but let me tell you they spared no expense when bringing it up to all the modern technology. they definitely wanted to drive it on a daily basis so this is the list of what this classic is equipped with. Big block 460 cubic inch motor Full electronic ignition conversion dual exhaust ran all the way back telescoping steering column with tilt wheel and electronic computerized cruise control New battery fires first crank of the key every time This truck shifts realty Smith going down the road which is impressive when you have 450 horsepower and let me tell you she gets off the line amazingly quickly your doing about 70 miles per hour in about 4 seconds So it has a ton of horsepower also comes fully equipped with power steering power brakes air conditioning already converted to R- 14 and the comfortable drive like you wouldn't believe. Feels as if you're sitting on pillows. Interior is gorgeous but original so might have a blemish here in there glass is all amazingly clear body is A+ paint is dupont base coat clear coat. Paint job as well as the big block installation took place 2 years ago so looks like it just came out of the paint booth Now I am going to do something different than usual normally I would go through the classic and give it a nut and bolt restoration fixing every little thing I might find it to be not perfect. But do too m y grandfather passing a few hours ago I am going to need to sell it the way it is and there are a couple things I have found i want you to know up front about. Steering feels tight due to a fluid leak on the power steering Exhaust leak on passenger side Driver side window needs assistance rolling up and the ac compressor needs to be charged. So as you can see very minor in fact slap some nice wheels on this classic and you got yourself a documented 60,000 miles 1 owner street rod worth 20 grand all day. Hagerty insurance needed to look up the n a d a value of the truck for insurance purposes and came up with 16,500 but I am going to run this auction at a no reserve.
