Vehicle Detail
Absolutely gorgeous, very rare 1937 Studebaker Dictator 4 dr with dual side mounts. This car underwent a full frame off restoration about 10 years ago. The frame was all bead blasted and painted with POR-15. Everything was rebuilt to original. Only 620 dual side mount 4 drs were built and out of those there can only be very few real ones left. Other options this car had were the dual air tone horns, radio, overdrive transmission, and a glove box clock. The grape tone maroon was an original 1937 Studebaker color. It runs and drives as nice as it looks. There are many n.o.s. parts on this car including both running boards, and the entire grill. The interior is flawless in a rich silver color. The rods that you see under the running boards are the radio antennas. I did have the radio completely rebuilt but have not hooked it up. There are no dents on the car but there are a couple very small chips from when it was reassembled. There is a little bit of paint bubble on the head light necks. I think this happened because the necks are a casting. It is not to noticable and has not gotten any worse over the past 8 years. This would also be very easy to fix. The chrome has all been redone. Alot of time and money went into this car and it shows. This is a great wedding car, it has also won awards at car shows. This car is a very rare piece of U.S. history that can be driven and enjoyed or put in a museum or collection. I never put the silver pin stripe back on but it would be even more jaw dropping with it.
