Vehicle Detail

Here we have a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 in restorable condition. This vehicle was my dream car but unfortunately I currently have no place to store it. It is beginning to show weathering and I cannot let this car rot so I am selling to let this gem be restored by someone with the means to do it justice. The car will run and drive but will need to be picked up. Some of the minor things I have done include replacing the carb, new front brakes, and reinstalling the power steering that was removed by the previous owner. I have also added the electronic sequential signal box to the trunk. Although the car will run, I suspect it needs new fuel lines as it will cut out for no reason and I get lots of trash in the inline filter (PO put a new fuel tank in) Power steering is working but the pump growls considerably so this will need some attention. Most of the interior is still there and theres not much body work to be done other than addressing the rust. the rear passenger quarter has been repaired due to my fiancee backing in to it and the rear valance has a crease. The tranny has a leak from the shifter arm that I have been told has a donut gasket inside that needs replaced but I havent confirmed. I will be happy to answer any questions about the vehicle. I have included pics of the worst rust and pics of the condition of the usual problem areas. CAR IS LISTED LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END EARLY. Thanks for looking. Per request, yes the car will run, and runs well but unfortunately I think theres either trash in the tank or the fuel lines are rusty. It will cut out and die for no reason. I installed a pertronix ignition under the cap thinking it might have been spark problems but it still cuts out for no reason.
