Vehicle Detail
This may be the best unrestored original 1952 International Harvester truck on the planet! Model L-120, 3/4 ton stepside Silver Diamond 220 6 Cyl. Engine Four Speed Manual Transmission This is by far the best example I have ever seen anywhere... in person, at shows, on-line or in print. I purchased this truck from a old man and his son in rural Indiana. The old barn was huge with a cement floor. Inside the barn there was a big crate/box like room. Inside the crate was this truck covered under a tarp just as it had sat for many many years... undisturbed and in AMAZING original condition with only 15000 original miles! It is exactly as I found it. After I changed all the fluids, replaced a couple of hoses, drained the old gas and bought a new 6 volt battery it purred back to life like it was just ran the day before. And from that day on has started first time everytime. The truck shifts smooth and the clutch works perfect. The 6v headlights are bright and clear, working turn signals, rare radio delete truck, perfect working two speed heater (complete with original Sept. 1952 yellow stampings on bottom as seen in photo), working wipers, super smooth rolling windows, perfect glass, zero sag in the doors (they shut perfect with one finger and seal like a vault), rock solid from top to bottom and underneath, rare 4 speed on the floor (most were three speeds on the "tree"), perfect bed (4x8 foot inside dimesions on box... with the tailgate shut!). Rock solid running boards, frame, floors, doors...everything! Look at the photo behind the instrument cluster!! It dosen't get any more original tan this. This truck is a time capsule and should never be altered. Current NADA prices as follows.. 1952 L120 3/4 ton pickup LWB High Retail $22,100.00 Average Retail $10,700.00 I used the historic lic. plate from another car I have to drive this truck and take some photos today. This truck has never been to a car show or cruise nite (you will be the very first to ever show it!), never had Armor All put on anything, never had a sticker applied anywhere. I'm a mechanic by trade and store this truck in one of my climate controlled garages. I simply don't have time to show the truck to the world like it deserves. Everyone I've ever shown is basicly awe struck when they see it.. its truly a incredible truck.. a real part of automotive history. Sure you see old Chevy, Ford and Dodge trucks at shows all the time...but think of the crowds that will flock to see this one of a kind treasure. I think I can safely say you will never find a more original example of a International Havester Pickup truck than this one!
