Vehicle Detail
This truck was driven to Ohio from Kansas in 1984, then parked behind a garage. It sat there until last summer, when I bought it with the intent of restoring it. I have realized that I can not afford to restore the truck the way I want to, so it's time to sell it. I have the clear title in hand. I belive the truck to be the F2 model, as it has a 8 bolt axles, a very heavy duty rear end, and a huge stack of springs. The bed is 8 feet long. Condition: The body is mostly solid, with surface rust and a couple holes, as seen in the pictures. The frame is perfect front to rear. The tires are dry-rotted, but have been holding air for a year now. The seat frame is in good shape, the cover is not. The cowl vent is functional. The heater box is there and complete. The front windshield is ok, as are the working side windows. The rear glass and one vent window is cracked. The guages all appear to be in good shape, but the radio is missing. The rear end is a heavy duty banjo-style unit that looks good. The engine is not frozen, and will turn over by hand. I have not attempted to start it, as I assume the gas tank is contaminated. With clean gas and a little work, I would not be surprised if it would start and run. The bed is slightly dented and the wood is completely gone. The fenders and running boards have been temporarily bolted on for transport. I believe this truck would make an excellant candidate for restoration. The frame is in fantastic shape and I believe everything else is repairable. This would also make an excellant truck for a rat rod project. Please understand before bidding, that this is a project truck, and needs total restoration.
