1990 Buick Reatta Thank you for looking at our car. We purchased it from the pre-owner, when it had about 74,000 miles. It now has almost 197,000 miles. The car runs and drives very well. It has never let us down with any major problems. We have replaced items such as idler pully, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, etc. However, as far as we know, the engine and transmission are still all original. I would still trust the car to drive anywhere. However, that being said, it is a 21 year old car and is being sold as-is without warranty. We painted the car about three or four years ago. It was and still is very solid. It did have some minor rust-through on each rear quarter panel and they are still holding-up quite well. The paint is still nice and glossy. There are a few minor paint chips. The wheels are still quite bright, with a few corrosion spots, near the edges. The tires probably have about 20,000 miles on them. The engine is a 3.8 liter (3800) V-6, with an automatic transmission. The car does run and drive very well. The strut towers and aprons are still good and solid. The instrument cluster all works well, with the exception of the fuel always reading low. We just keep-track using the trip-odometer. The climate control system works well. The radio works well. However, since we purchased the car, you need to push either the fast-forward or rewind button, to hear the radio. The previous owner said a cassette tape is stuck inside the unit. We never looked into it, as the radio still worked fine. This car is equipped with dual power seats (with recliners), tilt steering wheel, cruise control, power mirrors and air conditioning, all of which work well. The steering wheel rim was originally covered with leather, but it had deteriorated. So, we installed a black cover on it. The leather on the driver's seat does have some wear. The crack shown above is at the front of the bottom cushion. The wear below is on the left bolster of the seat-back. The right seat is still in very nice condition.
