Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than your traditional dealer. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealership might ask for a similar vehilce. Before listing a vehicle on eBay, I personally road test it so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. It is up to the buyer to do his or her diligence before bidding. Pre-bid inspections are encouraged when possible. Vehicles are shown by appointment at my York, PA storage facility. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known issues are fully disclosed in this description. Please read the entire description and review all photos carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a sharp looking 2000 Ford Focus SE "Sony Limited Edition" sedan. This one is finished in bright red with black interior, alloy wheels and rear spoiler. As you can see, this car shines great from any angle. There are some usual scratches and scrapes on the front and rear bumpers as you would expect from a vehicle with similar miles but nothing horrible. The only noteworthy flaw to this vehicles body is a dent on the right fender/broken reflector. The dent is very hard to notice but it is there. All of the glass and other lenses appear to be in tact. This Focus has the optional alloy wheels that are wrapped in good rubber. All four tires are matching and in nearly new condition. Overall this is a great looking car for the miles. I would rate the exterior of this Focus as ABOVE AVERAGE. The interior of this vehicle is in pretty good condition. I would rate the interior of this Focus as AVERAGE. The seats are all in great shape and show no wear or holes. The door panels are in tact and clean. The carpet has an area at the front passengers seat that is slightly stained but the carpet is in good condition throughout. A set of floor mats and you'll never think twice about it. The face is missing to the factory Sony stereo and shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement. The interior fan will need a new resistor ($20 here on ebay) to use the fan on speeds lower than "high". The air conditioner will need charged or serviced. The trunk is clean and spacious. The power windows and mirrors work as they should with exception of the passengers side rear window. It appears to be off the track or something. It won't stay up on its own...and when it's down, you can raise it with your hand. Again, not a real major issue. Overall, I would say this one is in pretty good shape for the miles. The original owners manuals and spare keys are in the glove box. Mechanically, this Focus appears to be in excellent running condition. The 2.0L 16V engine starts right up and runs very well. I didn't notice any leaks. During my road test, this Focus behaved very well. The engine makes plenty of power and accelleration is very smooth. Out on the highway, she cruises easily at 70-80mph. The suspension and steering are tight and responsive as they should be. The brakes stop the car without any issues. The check engine light is on and showing code PO171B. This is a cheap one to fix. The most common cause is a collapsed or leaking vac line. Worst case would be a new oxygen sensor but it is most likely a vac line. The clutch feels good and gear changes are nice and smooth. The engine keeps proper temperature. I've driven this car all around for an entire day and would drive her anywhere without a second thought. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
