Hi, I will describe this truck with as many details as I can. I bought this truck in October of 2001 in NJ the truck was only 1 year old and was in brand new condition. This truck has been a work truck for me, a family truck, and I have not been using it much for the past 2 years. We moved with the truck to Arizona and it has been in AZ since 2004. First I have to say that the truck is not in good running condition, it does need some work which I don't want to do since I'm really not using the truck. First there is a problem with the transmission, it is driveable but the transmission does not work sometimes. I took it to my mechanic this week and to them it needs a new transmision. Second, the ABS light is on (the wheel knocks), in Aug 2009 I had the right side hub replaced by Ford service, but my mechanic is saying that now the left side needs to be replaced. Also it shows that the left front wheel speed sensor input signal is missing. The codes he found for transmission was PO781 1-2 shift error, 783 3+4 shift malfunction and for the ABS the codes were 1155, 1158, 1233. Also the A/C is not blowing cold, the compressor seems to be working, a few years back I was told there was a Freon leak. I replaced the differential cap a few months ago with a chrome one. There is no leak anymore at the differential, however, one bolt broke off when reinstalling, so there is a makeshift bolt (it is an easy fix if you wanted to replace it). All tires need to replaced, beside the spare tire, which I have on now which was never used before - I just put it on a few months ago - so the spare only has a few hundred miles on it - it is a Firestone Steeltex Radial A/T (original spare tire). Body wise the cab is in fairly good shape, maybe alittle faded, but the whole bed (including the gate) is not in great shape and could use a replacement (dented and pushed in). The engine itself runs very well and despite what needs to fixed or replaced--it is a very strong truck. Again keep in mind that this truck is in need of major mechanical repairs (ie, transmission, ABS) as far as I know. The inside of the cab is in fairly good shape, the right side passenger seat has a rip in the upholstery. This truck can seat 6 people. If you have any questions please email me.
