For sale is a 1940 plymouth, from what I can tell mostly complete and original, looks to have spent most it's life garaged ??? Suicide doors, split windshield,radio,and cigarette lighter. Great restoration or ratrod project,very nice body for it's age, all the roundness of the fenders and roof looks great-not all beat up. Needs typical restoration work- glass,breakjob, floor, running board and trunk floor work,the front floorboard looks to be re-movable for transmission / brake access.Some floorboard,post work has been done-tacked in with rivits.There is some very light surface rust that was covered with spray paint to prevent further rusting you can see this on the field photo, but very solid exterior sheetmetal. The photo of it in the field was taken the day before I purchased it now it's back in the garage. The engine is locked up (somebody left a sparkplug out) and is soaking in wd-40 and Coca Cola to try to free it up. The doors work great- no sagging from hinge pin wear and open and close nicely. Windows crank up and down nicely. Extremely cool double side opening split hood. What is amazing is the lower portion of the doors are in great shape better than my modern vehicles.One photo shows some extra parts.
